Eligibility To qualify for the UNESCO Internship
Program 2023, candidates must be enrolled or recent graduates with a bachelor’s, master’s, or Ph.D. degree. However, applicants who have completed their bachelor’s degree but are not yet enrolled in a master’s program are ineligible. Applicants must be at least 18 years old at the time of application and possess excellent English language skills. Additionally, candidates should have knowledge of computer systems and office-related software, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and be adaptable to an international working environment.
Duration and Leave
The duration of the internship is six months, and it can be conducted remotely or physically, depending on the type of internship. Interns are entitled to 2.5 days of leave per month during their internship.
Medical Insurance and Financial Support
UNESCO provides limited insurance coverage up to USD 30,000 during the internship period. However, applicants should note that UNESCO does not provide financial support for visa or travel expenses.
